Cahuachi Pyramid

These are some of the thousands and thousands of bones scattered throughout the site. These were human beings sacrificed for religious purples. It is quite sad to see them exposed all over on the site. It is believed that as many ras 30000 people lived in the area at that time while Machu Picchu only had around 2000 people. Since not too many tourists know of the site, we had it all to ourselves - something that is extremely rare. Quite an unique experience.
