Chamber Pot Chair

This was an expensive chamber pot chair from London and nuns used it in one of their rooms at the Monastery of Santa Catalina. Massive structure that covers 5 acres of land right in the downtown of Areguipa. It was opened in 1970, after it was closed in isolation for over 300 years. This was one of the convents dedicated to wealthy women who would bring servants and slaves here to enjoy life,  including music parties. This monastery was built 16th to 19th centuries.
