After being here close to two weeks, we had finally experienced how crowded Japan can be. There was virtually no difference between day time or midnight on the number of people using the subway or train in Osaka. We came back to the hotel close to midnight and "pushers" were still working to ensure that every cart was jam packed.
The "awe" effect quickly faded after walking in the Dotonbori area for a few hours. Way too commercialized for our liking.
There was an accident at the JR Loop trains just before we boarded the train and everything came to a stand still. We had to quickly change a few times from JR to city subway and then back to JR trains to get back to our Kobe hotel. Once again, we are all SO appreciative of Richard's amazing ability to navigate the very complex transit systems in Japan. Commander Wu came through with flying colours!
