The bad weather caught up with us in Seoul finally. We have to scrap our plan to visit the
National Museum of Korea today and focus on packing up to head home this
afternoon. We made one final visit to
Gwangjang market before heading out to Incheon Airport using metro. The ride from Seoul to Incheon is really
long! It took 1 hr 15 mins to get
there. We had time to check out the
Asiana Airline’s flagship lounge in Terminal 1.
They had decent hot food as well as frozen mango! We even tried their cup noodle of spicy ramen.
Incheon Airport is quite big. Our flight to Beijing took about 2 hrs. Thankfully, Beijing's heat wave had passed and the temperature is back to 19C in the evening so the airport is not as hot as it was (30C!) on our way to Seoul.

My impressions of South Korea from this trip:
- Everything is very packaged and artificial,
especially women’s beauty. They are
obsessed with their looks so tons of plastic surgery, double eyelids, pear shaped face, off pale skin
tone (achieved by injecting something white according to our source), fake fingernails, fake toenails, etc. etc.
- Not much of their scenery remains natural. Even the hiking trails have rugs covered over them for easier
walk. There are artificial dolphins
sculptures offshore at many popular beaches creating eyesores in my opinion.
- Shopping Shopping Shopping! Shops everywhere and restaurants
everywhere! The amount of commerce and
consumption must form a huge part of South Korea's GDP
- Food/Cuisine too spicy and too fatty for our taste. We did not know the feeling of hunger since we arrived although we walked everywhere and have been very active. The calories intake must be huge with all the fatty beef, pork, chicken, and everything deep-fried!
