First day in Tokyo

The flight was uneventful (the type that all travellers wish for) and arrived on time. The Narita airport was not as busy as I had imagined but it may have to do with the fact that Air Canada was parked at a gate that was very far and we had to walk quite a bit of distance before arriving at the custom clearance where the line up was more evident.

We have booked two nights at the Grand Nikko Hotel in Odaiba area (a man made Island). Much nicer hotel than I expected. Was worried because area appeared deserted from airport bus. Very scenic touristy to walk around. Our first dinner is Sushi!

  1. Have you tried all the "features" of the toilet ?

  2. Most definitely. The only regret is that the version that I have tried does not come with air drying, whereas a more deluxe version comes with it! I kind of enjoying the heated seat function - comes in handy in cold winter months.

  3. The hotel looks very nice, just like any good North American hotels. Not small at all. Nice surroundings outside.

  4. This hotel was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The next one in Nara, Okinawa is much smaller but with modern decorations and features. The shower features and water pressure are so much incredibly nice (you can massage your body top to bottom). I definitely want one installed in my own bathroom! They also provide all sort of beauty products for the ladies ☺️.
